Danilo Colla, as many other people from his generation, after school moved to Germany to learn a technical occupation, in the most evolved nation in mechanical field at that time. His tenacity and typical Venetian dedication to work, allowed him to improve the specialization in special components manufacturing in one of the most automotive companies in Stuttgart.

He decided to return to Asolo, and with the experience he had gained in the industrial field, in just 300sqm, which until recently had housed the Asolo cinema, he built with a partner a contract turning and milling workshop that quickly became a benchmark for quality and technical expertise.

Starting the first realization of automation gained thanks to the German experience, Danilo designs and offers to a lot of companies that produce technical shoe in the area, pneumatic stations that allowed operators to rise productivity and keep the quality of components consistent.

The tertiary was rapidly abandoned to satisfy the ever-increasing domestic needs of ASOLMEC creating a solid milling and turning department that even today is the company’s flagship.

The rapid growth imposes the moving of the historical base at the first warehouse of the current company in Casella d’Asolo.

The automatization was always more complex and original. The first realization evolutions are the more advanced manipulators that from one hand reduce the workload that must handle the heavy moulds of ski boots and from the other hand support the creativity of manufacturers allowing easy two-colour moulding of the shells.

The first core of software department was created and allowed, with the growth of machine tolls department, to increase the application area in another productive field that still today we serve.

Enlargement of other 1000sqm and purchase first 5 axis milling cutter with numerical control. The expansion of space and the company know-how constantly growing allow the introduction of the new revamping activity: i.e., the modernization and upgrading of existing machines of our best sport system customer.

The daughter Katia and the son Simone take over management of the company from Danilo.

Beginning of a solid partnership with a Swiss company specialized in innovative use of ultrasound. Allowing fist realization on medical and automotive department.

Park machines for swarf removal is enlarged to reach the optimum dimensions allowing the in-house production of all special components in line with the growth of ASOLMEC.

ASOLMEC become a certified supplier of one of the first ten electronic multinational companies in the world. Immediately, the Company develops and delivers the first fully automated line dedicated to the assembly of safety sensors.

A further expansion is necessary to reach the current 6000sqm production area, which 3. 500sqm are indoor.

Beginning of a collaboration with the largest Italian company specialized in the design of production lines for the production of components in the automotive sector.

New 5 axis CNC machine tools are purchased to replace the less advanced models.

Plastic prototypes are incorporated internally thanks to the purchase of the first Industrial 3D printer.
